Conference 'Challenges of Global Aging'

26-Oct-2011    On the 10th of November 2011 WorldGranny Pension & Development Network organizes the conference ‘Challenges of Global Aging: implications & strategies’. Venue of the conference is the new auditorium of The Dutch Central Bank and the entrance is free of charge. Registration is open and will continue until Friday the 4th of November.

Global aging, demographic transitions and the social economic consequences are at the heart of this conference. After the welcoming speech of Carolien Gehrels (Alderman of Amsterdam) and an introduction by Joanne Kellerman, LL.M. (director of the Dutch Central Bank), George Magnus (senior economic advisor UBS) will give an overview of the developments in aging and macro-economic consequences of aging. Subsequently Richard Blewitt (HelpAge International) and Abhishek Sinha (EKO, India) amongst others will highlight different perspectives on the aging debate. Finally a panel discussion with prof. dr. Guus Boender (ORTEC, VU), dr. Adri van der Wurff (APG), Annette van der Krogt, LL.M. (Syntrus Achmea) and prof. dr. R.G.J. Westendorp will address and discuss the different dimensions of aging. The detailed program of the conference can be found in the attachment.
