My name is Yael Ribco and I am originally from Montevideo, Uruguay. In December 2009 I obtained my Law degree at the Universidad de Montevideo and started working as an associate lawyer in one of Uruguay’s biggest law firms. Soon after, I decided to move to the Netherlands where I am pursuing my master degree in the field of International Economic Law at the Universiteit van Amsterdam.
I found the work of the Pension & Development Network in the field of micro pensions particularly interesting and innovative. Thus, I decided to work for the Pension & Development Network as an intern. Among others, I will help developing the P&D Network Community
, an online community that offers a platform whereby experts and other persons interested in the field can share their knowledge and experience about the design, development and implementation of micro pension schemes in developing countries. Moreover, I will assist in a project to develop and implement a micro pension benefit plan in Central America.
